ANNA DIAKUN, MSW, LCSW

Anna is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and an Outpatient Psychotherapist at Loom Counseling, PLLC. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Florida and received her Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Anna’s approach to therapy is grounded in trust and safety, meeting each person where they are, without judgment. She uses a whole-person perspective that honors every voice and identity. Her goal is to create a supportive environment where individuals feel safe to express themselves, heal, and grow. Anna often incorporates many creative tools, games, and interventions in the therapeutic space to offer an engaging and meaningful process.

Anna is passionate about working with children, adolescents, and young adults, as well as partnering with the family unit. She works with clients navigating challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem struggles, life & family transitions, and difficulties with emotional regulation. She informs her practice with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), trauma-informed CBT, play therapy techniques, and systemic family growth models. Anna also has experience supporting individuals with diverse cognitive, developmental, and physical abilities, as well as individuals with neurodiversity, including ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). She is especially passionate about walking alongside individuals who have experienced trauma, offering hope and healing with a trauma-informed lens.

Outside of her work, Anna enjoys traveling, baking, crocheting, spending time outside with her animals, and going on adventures with family and friends.
